Daniel I love your work but I have to say; the secret really??
Its just a self-help money making joke to me. Yes I agree that if you think positive positive things happen to you. That I can not deny.
And maybe the Universe will provide you with oportunties, but I think its less the Universe and more likely because of your change in beliefs your more likely to see oportunties that were already there that maybe you didn’t take seriously before.
I wont bash the secret too much as it is a positive thing! But also be aware of how much it plays on the desires of your typical american. Not too close to god to isolate the atheists but also close enough to intice the relious Christians. Self-claimed ‘experts’ whom you have never heard of before coming on and talking about it to appease any sceptics who are not trained to spot it. It all seems like a very corporate attempt at the self-help culture which in my opinion should be driven by individuals who can prove their theories. Who are those people in the film anyway? See if Richard Brandson had talked about it then I might have taken it a bit more seriously.

Thats my opinion anyway.

Nice article. Little lengthy but through reading this I remembered many great books, movies, and different ideas that inspired me in the past. Two movies came to mind. First, “the Mission” with Robert de Niro and secondly, “End of the Spear.” It’s probably not common for nonbelievers to watch movies about missionaries, but I think even they would be impressed how one passionate person can so dramatically change the course of an entire people. I’m also impressed because I feel that your spirit, mind, and body are becoming more sensative.
This law also made me think of some things I recently read about more recently. I read that in the spiritual world people immediately find themselves wherever their affections lead them. I feel that this law is very spiritual in that it shows how powerfully the will, thoughts, affections, and desires of people influence themselves and others. It would seem as though maybe you are becoming more spiritual.

This may be my favorite article ever.
I do not believe in God or any gods, necessarily, but I have faith in a higher power. I returned from a two-week trip to Israel this week, but on this trip, I developed a faith eerily similar to the Law that you describe. First, let me back up.
As we shared with the entire group what we wanted to get out of this trip, I mentioned that I wished to further embrace my philosophy of “Be positive, stay positive.” Consequently, during any deeper discussion, I would bring to the table some optimistic idea or quote. This optimism attracted more people to want to be friends with me, an idea that was very new to me.
Fast forward to last Thursday/Friday at about midnight. We went to the Cotel, the Western Wall, the holiest site in Judaism. Someone said something about having hope, and I followed up with something else about hopes. I wrote this down in my journal: Be loyal to your hopes. This gives you faith, whether in you, God, others, whatever. Without faith, your life is meaningless and empty.
On this trip, I went from nonbeliever to realizing that it doesn’t matter whether or not there is a God, all that matters is faith in myself, faith in my ideas, and faith in others.

Daniel you have done it again. Fantastic article, it really captures how? Where? When? Why? the Law of Attraction is a fundamental part of life. But what I truly enjoyed was the break down. Many people have the misconception that ‘wishful thinking’ is the only thing you have to do. And as you explain it could get you the result you want but at a much slower pace, and could lead you to a disappointment. Instead ‘Burning Desire’ is the true catalyst the will start the wheels in to high gear and help the Law of Attraction get you what you want.
