Greetings my brothers! I am sorry that it has been so long since I last dropped you a note, or even an article or post! Life can get pretty chaotic in prison, and at times the only thing you can focus on is your own safety and well-being. I promise to be more diligent in being an active member of our community from here on out.
But before I begin to post again (I have a lot to say), allow me to introduce (or reintroduce) myself to those new members who may not know who I am.
I am Ian Andrew Smith. I am 22 years old. I founded this website in 2007 with the help of Daniel Becerra and many of the other well-known members on this website. My goal was to create a place for men of all ages and backgrounds to come together and help each other in becoming better, more exceptional human beings. We used the name Pualifestyle because at one time or another we were all interested in furthering our ability to interact with women. However, as Daniel (and anyone else who knows me well) can tell you, it was never really all about getting women. From the start, it was more so about creating a lifestyle that is naturally attractive and learning to live our ultimate potential.
Instead of giving you a boring history lesson, I'll tell you this about myself: I was not always the person I am today. I used to be quite the asshole. I was a voracious drug addict, womanizer, thief, liar, cheater, and all around d*ck-head. I had no respect for anyone, not even myself. I lived my life in poor health, with no direction, no cares for the future, in dangerously extreme present-minded hedonistic/fatalistic mindset. All of these character defects (and more) are what landed me in the NJ State Prison system for 5 years of my life.
On the morning of April 28th, 2007, I was being my normal self-centered and reckless self when I barreled through a stop sign at high speeds and crashed into a car crossing the intersection. Instantly, a 19 year old man lost his life. As a result, I was charged with Vehicular Homicide and a year or so later was found guilty and sentenced to 5 1/2 years in prison with a mandatory sentence of 4 years, 8 months, and 1 day.
The bottom line is this: It took me doing something incredibly horrible (despite that it was completely unintentional) to realize how beautiful life is. I never realized what a gift I had been given until I narrowly escaped my own death.
While out in bail I become engrossed by the concept of personal development and made it my mission to make the world a better place by sharing my story and helping others to learn what I had realized (without having to go through what I have). I wanted men everywhere to better themselves and makes their lives excellent. I myself wanted to become a master of my own destiny and to fully embrace the gift that God gave me by being the best man I could be.
That is my life’s purpose. That is the mission of Pualifestyle and the mission of its members.
The rest of details are insignificant.
So here I am writing you from Garden State Correctional Facility, with a little over 1 year of my sentence completed. In the past year I have learned some incredible things about myself and the world. I needed some time to digest a lot of this, but now I feel that it is time to share the details of my journey thus far with you all. With that, I will once again become an active member of Pualifestyle. You will begin to hear from me regularly with updates on my situation, articles, and posts – just like old times.
Please, feel free to contact me directly via traditional mail – as many of you already have. I can receive letters from anywhere in the world, so don’t hesitate just because you are located in another country. Whether I know you or not is not important.
My address is:
Mountainview Youth Correctional Facility
Ian Smith
31 Petticoat Lane
Annandale, New Jersey 08801
(Note: Address has been changed from original since Ian has been moved to a better place
but yes, the above address is the one you can now send him stuff to)
Or you can contact me via the website, Daniel will make a post for me that will be a place for you to post a message, a question, a problem, or whatever else and these will be printed out and sent to me so that I can respond appropriately.
With that being said, I hope that you are all doing very well. You will be hearing from me very soon Until then, over and out!
Peace, love, and STYLE!
