Default Daily Rituals = Control? YES

I love my Anthropology Class, the professor is such a Philosopher... Oh man, She inspires me to be a role-model, but more than anything, she inspires me to write about Pick-Up... and you guys should thank her for that

But I'm not talking about negs, or Push&Pull here, no... she doesn't stand in front of class to talk about that, she talks about Humanity... today she talked about Religion (Yes, I know, but I'm not gonna talk about religion here, wait and you'll see) and one of the things that striked me was this line

"Our daily rituals (routines) help us feel IN CONTROL"

What a beautiful line, instantly I thought:

"Control... PUA's want control... Control of their emotions, thoughts, actions and others' response"

Don't you love my professor already?

Well, what daily rituals is she talking about?

- Do you before you walk into a game, make the cross sign or touch the grass?
- Or maybe you pray before going to sleep and when waking up
- Maybe you go for your daily run at 6 am
- Who knows

We all have routines, and these make us have CONTROL

Simple huh?

Let's take it a step further...

Control means that when you're in a bad time, you can solve it.

EX: You had a bad night at the club
Solution: You wear your lucky shirt next night and you totally rock the place

NOW TO THE EVEN BETTER NEWS...

You already have routines! (duh!)

* So what do you do when you get emotionally affected?

I dont know about you, but I listen to some music or write stuff down... what do you do?...

Going out doesn't work for me... When I go out, I go out to have fun, not to take my tears out

* What do you do before a big event?

I usually tell myself, you will rock this event

Telling yourself "It'll be fine, just relax" only makes you worry more

See where I'm going?

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Now, the better the routines, the better off you're

So what gives GREAT routines on autopilot

- Lifestyle
- A good role-model

Get working

Peace!

You strike a good point romeo

I listen to 'Bitter Sweet Symphony' by the verve while im putting on my clothes after a shower just before i go out. Nothing gets me more excited and socialble than straightening my tie to that song.

Yeah man, we talked about this over the phone one night I think. Ever since I've put structure, goals, and daily rituals into my life, it has become a more productive, low-stress, more interesting life.

I do the following things everyday.

-Aim for 6.5-7.5 hours of sleep.
-Look over my goals list (includes short, middle, and long term), I add to them and cross off or edit them.
-Stretch for 20 minutes in the morning. (Extremly healthy and calming)
-Gym before class
-I go over my to-do list that I create the day before, create my one for tomorrow, and finish any daily errands, etc.
-Yoga for 30-45 minutes
-Martial Arts fpr 30-45 minutes
-Read 45 minutes

It has yeilded dramatic changes, keeps me motivated, focused, and energized.
