Natural - How do you define it?

I was chatting with one of the CC members, Malta, who has, what we consider out of the group, a natural style. So we were discussing the essence of what it takes to be a natural and want your opinion.

I've been seeing a lot of articles and products out there talking about this subject. Do you think there are different natural styles and varying degrees of a natural?

One point of view says that Natural is something people are born with, or are qualities that guys have acquired due to early experiences that enable them to be successful with women. There are also some theories that a natural is someone who is not conscious of the reasons behind their success with women.

On the other hand, there is the natural who learns all the pickup material and is very involved in the community. These guys may have invested time trying canned openers/routines/methods to the point where they no longer use it as a crutch and they are deeply ingrained in their personalities - almost automatic. So, in that case, would Mystery be a natural at MM? (credit: Malta)

Tyler from RSD says that the difference between himself and a natural is that he has a strong, conscious understanding of what it took for him to be better with women. He has an understanding of what he does and why it affects his interactions.

I'd like to hear your perspectives.

I would say that I am a natural simply because I am completely in the dark as to how most of the actual structures work! I have never read anything on how to learn the MM, never read the game, watched a few video clips about juggler on youtube and thats pretty much it. Most of the game I have learned has been from my own personal experience and these forums. I guess you can call me a natural because I don't plan what I am going to do when I am in a situation. But then again maybe I'm not a natural and I'm just a melting pot of methods with influences from any person who I thought had something to say worthwhile who posted an article or thread, online or in RL.

I don't see myself as a natural. If I were I'd be getting chicks just fine and wouldn't need this fine forum. Although I do utilize most aspects of what the PUA community calls natural game. I think natural game and being a natural are two different things. The former focuses on self-help and improvement so that the measures needed to be successful with women come as second-nature to a person. While he may not have been born with these talents, the PUA has learned them and ingrained them into his personality.

This word Natural is being marketed like word God. It is so unique that in everyones pereception it will be seen on a different pedestal.

to be natural can be inborn or learned. It's basically the ability to game without thinking, planning, using planned material, and basically doing everything on the fly.. to give you a perfect example there's a FR of Tyler Durden going to an ice cream or coffee stand while out of town or something... he started flirting with her a little and then randomly told her to close her eyes.. he then kissed her and she went nuts and once she recovered she tried to drag him into the back to hook up.

You don't always have to be completely natural at everything involving pickup.. as there's many different aspects including opening, being interesting, carrying on a conversation, kino escalation, making the move, getting numbers, LMR, etc..

The goal is to be completely natural at all of them. don't plan out your night, don't plan what you'll say or think about using routines. When you go out you might try strawberry fields, but the whole night or at least part of it, you're waiting to use it when you think the time is right. To do it naturally, you're not even thinking about routines, then all of a sudden she starts inserting sexual tension into the conversation and almost randomly, you start pulling it out of nowhere and go through it like butter. Then when you analyze it you don't even have think of the answer, as she says everything it's automatically processed.

good luck on working your natural game. Remember, you don't need to go completely natural at the same time. work on each aspect both individually and together.

"Being Natural" Really means taking your core personality expressing it in an attractive way.

Its all about the sizzle you put on your steak, yo.

Instead of using a bunch of routines, you think about who you are and figure out how to present that while being mysterious.

In my opinion, Dr. Paul is the only one out there with a real monopoly on natural game.

The rest are just wannabe coaches selling you more crap.
