Cool bartending

i've been sick as hell this week but i managed to take some classes on bartending i paid for. i have to say bartending is fun as hell. you guys should look into it. its a few hundred dollars to go to a bartending school but if you do and end up getting a job, its a good $200 or $300 a night on thursday through sunday. on top of it, being a bartender makes your sex appeal go way up.

at the bartending school, they were saying that you have the opportunity to go home with a girl every night but you can never do that at your bar. you have to go to other bars and get laid just as much just because your customer base would disappear if you slept with them all.

personally i'm excited. i'm only 20 and cant work as a bartender for another 10 months but i can probably do private parties or dhv with girls when i can start mixing and crap right in front of them. i'm telling you guys, if you want a fun social job where you make a good amount of money, be a bartender or at least look into it as something on the side

That is a good idea. How are you supposed to go to other bars if you are working though?

Is it a law in your state that you can't work at a bar until you are 21, cause I know Pennsylvania allows someone to bartend after they turn 18. Just another one of our stupid laws. You can serve alcohol and work around it when you become an "adult", but you can't drink it until you are 21 for some reason. Does anyone understand this? It never made sense to me.

But anyway, Lucid, just a thought you may want to look into. You may be legally able to bartend even though you can't legally consume alcohol.

You can bartend at 18.

Just a few tips of you become a bartender. I'm a chef and have been in the restaurant business for about 4 years and it is a crazy business. The hours are really bad for picking up girls. Typically the good girls will come in earlier in the evening around 7:00-11:00 and after that the good girls kinda disappear and go home and you are typically left with more restaurant people. I love restaurant girls cause they all know how to party. There is nothing like the creativity of sleeping with a party girl. So the upside is that you are going to have constant DHV and bartenders do typically get laid a lot. The same sex appeal is there with chef. The down side is that your hours are going to limit you on the type of women you sleep with. As a bartender your job is to make the customer feel welcome so flirting is a very positive part of your job. So you should get plenty of flirting time in. The downside is you have to be very interesting so you can keep the women there. Many of them will get impatient waiting for you to get off work. So, I think approaching when you don't have a job to do is more effective and you have plenty of time for the proper escalations to occur. Other than that you might have to just stick with the party girls that stay out late.

in california you have to be 21. sucks... but in the mean time, i can still mix drinks at my house with other girls i know over. dhv right there just making delicious crap off the top of your head.

thanks for the tip mr orange. ya... i'm just going to be doing it part time with school being the other thing i'm doing. its mostly for money and for a dhv when girls at school ask me where i work but on those nights that i want to get laid, there will be plenty to chose from i can imagine. another good thing i hear is as a bartender you hear a lot of stuff and you know who sleeps with who and who has std's and stuff like that. that makes me a little more secure about the whole picking up party girls thing.

oh and marvin... i dont work everyday so the days i have off or if i work a day shift, i can go to another bar during the night time.

That is a good idea Lucid. I never really thought about it, but bartenders usually do make pretty good money. I am in the process of deciding what I want to do with my life, and thinking I need to go back to school. I didn't make it too far in college (under-achieving thing) so I want to go back but couldn't think of how to afford it. I never thought of bartending.

Maybe I will look into that.
