Default Attitude Change.

Hey, so instead of grabbing my Playstation 3, and going to my Granddads, instead I grabbed a Notepad and pen.

i got to my granddads, and sat down and begain to think. I started with the question "Why can't I control my emotions?"

Now, I've not come up with a proper answer for that YET, but let us continue.

Then I wrote three lists, "What is good about me?", "What is bad about me, that CANNOT be changed?" and "What is bad about me, that CAN be changed?"

Now, I scratched the surface with this, but the two i came up with were:
  • Discipline
  • Time Wasting

I spend 80% of my life now, on my PS3 and my Laptop. And when i try and NOT go on them, i usually fail, because i can't think of anything to do.

SO, i wrote a list of things I could spend my time on instead. Here's that (unfinished) list:
  • Revising (big one!)
  • Out with mates
  • Having a job
  • Practising guitar
  • Taking walks, being out in general, even if that means by myself
  • Meeting new people (by being out)
  • Martial Arts
  • Writing poems, songs, stories (anything creative)
  • Painting/Drawing (learning to do these)

Anyway, on to the core part of the post. I want to change my attitude, so I wrote quite a lengthy list of "affirmations", of how I want to be.
here they are. Before we begin, I just want to say, please, discuss these with me, as I'd like to hear your feedback.
  • I am happy, confident, and I don't feel the need to defend myself/be reactive to anyone
  • I am secure in myself, so that I don't feel the need to prove myself to anybody, apart from myself
  • I do what I want, when I want, regardless of others(to a sensible extent). Life is too short to be following others around, and not doing what >I< want to
  • I am free to express myself in anyway I want to. Because of this openness, people are attracted to me.
  • I am an interesting, enjoyable person, and people should feel lucky that I spend time and attentiomn with them. Although, I never think of myself as above anybody else. If someone doesn't appreciate me or my value, they can leave me alone.
  • I dont not tolerate constant serious disrespect, and I will withdraw time and attention from them.
  • My mood/state is not affected by any outside influences, unless I want it to be so.
  • I am good looking. This gives me confidence in myself, and girls can see this.
  • I am kind, caring, loyal yet teasing and fun to those who respect me and don't waste my time.
  • I speak my mind, if I want to. Hurting others, comes into consideration, but overall it will not affect my decision.
  • Whatever I say is interesting and people want to hear what I have to say.
  • My good mood positively affects those people around me.
  • I am the life and soul of any party, and it doesn't bother me if I am not. I know that I am fun, interesting, and have a good tim regardless.
  • I am a natural leader, but I don't have to aggressively force people to follow me.
  • Because I am a leader, I look out for people, and try to help them.
  • I am the selector, and I choose who gets to hang with me (girls or boys), and see if they live up to my standards, not the other way around.

I want this to be my confident mindset.

Discuss.
