I met my Uncle Steve for the first time today and we're too similar for it to be coincidental. Previously I've always believed that tastes are created through nurture: fashion, skills, preferences. Yet now as I meet more of my family I'm thinking differently.

We went for a walk to talk, and realised that we were both extremely similar. We shared the same thoughts, opinions and he was in exactly the same situation as me when he was my age.

Opening up an old photo album, lo and behold when he was 18 he had a Honda Civic - same as me. OK, so that could be just coincidence. Looking at his shoes, he had the same colour high-tops as me in that photo...OK now that was a bit weird. He looked like me - yea that's going to be obvious, but what's that in the back ground? A waterfall...

The exact same waterfall in Langkawi I just went to a few months ago. How did he get there? Why, he hired a bike - just like me. What were his interests in life? Computers, technology and electronics - err, they're my interests too. Just to top it off, in all these photos he was wearing aviators, as am I right now.

Genetics play a huge role as I have witnessed first hand. So maybe I really am more suited to certain tasks...Are there a certain type of girls that I can attract more than others?

The nature vs. nurture debate is still not concluded it is likely that belief will change when someone comes up with new evidence.

That is freakishly coincidental. With the amount of people in the world then it is likely there will be some very similar people out there. But you and him are entirely the same, so we are all unique.

Yes, just like your taste buds there are definitely certain types of girls you are just naturally attracted to. By the same token, there are also girls that you will be genetically attracted to, haha it doesnt mean your dads wife will be STRIKINGLY similar to your future wife but it means you might have the same tastes as a close family member of yours...for instance my dad was kind of a "jock" and he walked around the halls at school back in the day as Mr. Confident which is what im developing into, so in a way, i am becoming him...and Im sure my "tastes" are also changing and adapting...Also, my dad looked almost identical to me in one of his childhood pictures haha but thats just coincidence, and so is THAT Tom, holy crap thats friggin whack, i mean ive heard of genes and ive heard of coincidences but thats just crazy...i dont think its either lol i dont know what to call it
