Default Define a "lair"

I've never really understood the concept of a lair. From what I understood after reading The Game, it was a house full of aspiring PUA's. They would meet up there and discuss everything.

So when you get a local lair for a city, what would that be described as? Is that just everyone, or certain groups?

It sort of annoys me that there's no sense of community, just separate groups doing their own thing.

I think you could take different kinds of 'lairs' and put them on a spectrum.

One one side you would have the type of club or group that is very sexual attraction oriented. One where the only goals are about banging chicks and otherwise smarmy caddish behaviour.

On the other end of the spectrum you perhaps would have the ultra warrior spiritual male awakening type of group like in the 90's where cats would go out into the woods and bang drums.

The first would often backfire becasue cats such as this don't have the high character required to organise and lead a bunch of 'alpha' males with politics and diplomacy. In fighting, back stabbing, shit talking, and douche baggery would and does ensue. Also in this case, there is no real mission because the only mission is getting pussy, and pussy is only important to those that don't get pussy.

The second is kinda strange and 'woo woo' voodoo scientology type shit. Without a proven, tried and tested mentor/leader it will fail as well. This second one is often a happier choice then the first cause of the emphasis on masculinity and thus character. In the extreme, this side of the spectrum produces fanatics and cultish behaviour (if not actual cults).

I have a theory that a functional lair in the middle is possible. You might call it a brotherhood or tribe or whatever. I don't know how to do it, but it is elements of that theory that attracted me to this place, in the first place.

I think you are talking about a project, a lair is an internet site for a city. Theres a lair for my city, brisbane but its neglected and undermanned.

There are actually a number of projects/lairs in Edmonton, and yeah, it gets confusing. EMSIC is the most prominent, but also the one least likely to provide good training to their members. Ecko's crew would be another, as far as I'm concerned. The guys I roll with maybe one more, but we're a pretty disparate bunch, and I'll go out with guys from either of the other groups. And there were guys out a couple of weeks ago that I'd never seen before, so there could be way more.
