I cannot tell you how much I wish I could give you a detailed answer, but truth is, self-discipline is tough to acquire and more important, to keep. Like you said, it's what keeps you going when motivation fades.
I will give you this and this is what is working for me thus far. If you noticed, sometimes when we begin growing, not all of us begin right away. Yeah? Some of us read a lot and memorize a lot and try to act it out first, but then as we become wrapped up in the field of personal development, we just cannot help but to feel overwhelmed to take action!
For instance, when I became SO surrounded with books, quotes, motivational posters, motivational podcasts in my bedroom, I felt so overwhelmed that it was almost impossible not to act. My environment was the key. My environment led me to eventually perform.
Let's try (I say "let's" because I'll do the same) putting papers all over our rooms with signs on our desire income and notes on how to get it. Let's become really overwhelmed by that fact and if it happens, then we'll be happy. If it doesn't, then we'll have learned.
