I fail time after time
Does this occur to you guys as well? Youre developing a habit of reading daily for a couple of weeks, exercising too, sleeping early, no pornography, no waste of time for a good period of time... but THEN you stop caring, you go back to your old habits, you watch porn, you sleep late, you're sleepy during class, you don't read and so on. It's a cycle, you know? Do you experience this as well?
Of course, every time I get back on track, I get back with more effort and more will to learn, but when I hit that phase of not doing anything, I get so down, so depressed, it becomes annoying. I'll be taking Daniel's advise and write on my journal to come with answers, but for now, if any of you have experienced this... can you share with me some of your insights?

I had to force myself to workout until it became a habit. As for reading, I just picked it up over the break after a year long dry spell. The key to that is finding a book that you actually enjoy reading. I tried a few different books over the last year, but didn't find anything interesting until recently. I'm still struggling with sleeping late and some of the other things though.

That's part of how things work I think...And for me, if I do fix one thing for good another goes to crap and that's just as bad in the end....
Really tired right now...

Yes it happens all the time. Constant phases of new goals, dedication to achieve them and then failure. But it only happens when there is no true motive or desire. When you do something like read a lot for the sake of reading, just because it's a good thing you're doomed to fail. There needs to be a much deeper motive behind it.
One may read more in order to increase intelligence in an effort to boost attractiveness, thus the motive may be to get more girls, but actually, there is something deeper here. An insecurity that one isn't attractive enough, that one feels unattractive, inadequate, and not good enough. An exploration of these thoughts, discovering the fears and finding reasons behind them will provide much higher results. Although this example may not apply to you, it's concept should be applyable to many of your goals.
I hope this helps dude. Keep at it

Yeah Matt, it's quite common. As Tom said, as long as your desire it's there, there will be a point where it will click so soundly that you'll never go back to old habits. Patience son...

A lot of the time when this happens to me, it's usually because of school. I stop working out or I stop watching what I eat because I'm stressed, and I get in this attitude of, "Oh just fuck it, I'll do whatever I want." Then instead of doing the hard work that I'm stressing about, I waste time on the computer (like I'm doing right now haha). Keep your eyes on the prize and show self control and determination to do what you told yourself you're going to do.

Sloan, you got to stop blaming other things for your problems! School gave you the opportunity to say either "fuck it" or "I'll work with it." You chose the first option
Too much of the time I see you giving excuses my man! Not much is going to happen until you start putting yourself in the drivers seat, rather than letting the weather control where you drive.
These difficulties that we face we cannot control. But we can control how we address them and how we frame it in our minds. We can also choose to get back up again after failure, which all of us have done before, and even brought many a people - like myself - here in the first place
