I think this should be a sticky... sometimes cocky funny does wonders for me and even helps me F close, other times girls think I'm a fucking asshole/idiot/hate me. Does anyone have a checklist of things that have to be in place to use it and when not to use it? Thanks

It's not my understanding of the term of Cocky&Funny that cocky means insulting. There are plenty of cocky&funny things that you can say that are hillarious! I think when they say Cocky&F it is because you are saying something unique/riskay/clever/witty that is funny and get away with it becasue you are confident in yourself i.e. cocky, kinda. its all callibration. i've crossed the line between cocky+funny and asshole many times. what had tripped me up before, was what i know now "is it funny for both parties?" you see, i would feel backed and into a corner and just outright blurted insults lol. got a girl to passionatley hate me. i've got it down to a more subtle form but now i'm ready to venture up on the scale and find the right balance.

It depends how you are, and in the situation. If you want to be always cocky funny, then you can't really 'turn it off' but you can turn it down. It's all about reading the girl and how they are responding to c/f. And yeah, don't get it confused with negging. It can be cheeky, witty, etc. Basically overly-confident in a fashion.
I use C&F to guage the intelligence of the girl. Normally more intelligent girls will respond better to C&F the amazing ones that i really like (the sort that could be a GF) are the cleaver ones who will CF back to me. Nothing is more fun than CF fights, except maybe sex.

LAUGH OBSEENLY LOUD as if its the funniest thing in the world like dont make it obvious and make it over the top but laugh like you found it funnier than the rest of the set. Then suddenly KILL ALL EMOTION and say loudly while taking in a breath 'NO' and just stare at her with a super serious face. People usually react with 'OH SHIT FUCK WHAT HAPPENED WHYS HE SO OFFENDED TENSION....OH WAIT ITS A JOKE BAHAHAHAHA' and they love it.
Otherwise with some girls you can only get away with:
