I was looking back at his work and those this guy have some great stories.

I went through a lot to find this so you'll better like it.

So yesterday I was out driving around and decided to make a pit-stop into Borders Bookstore to grab some new reading material. After about 15 minutes of browsing around I found myself in view of a really gorgeous young mom, a definite 9, with her 2 kids in the children's section. There was a boy and a girl, who looked like they were the same age, I approached all three of them, ignored the mom, and proceeded to make friends with the young boy.

ME: (sitting down into a little kids table and chair) Yo little dude, what are you reading about there?
BOY: Earthquakes. I have to do a project on them for school!
ME: Wow, earthquakes huh? Thats some serious stuff! What causes them again? The tutonic plates right?
BOY: No! (laughs) The TECTONIC PLATES!
ME: Oh yeah! Thats what they are called! Are you using that book for your report? Look at this one, its got stuff about volcanoes in it too! And its cheaper, you'll save some money in your bank account.
BOY: I don't have one of those yet, I'm not old enough!
ME: No way. How old are you?
BOY: I'm 7 and half.
ME: Whoa I thought you were older. Hey if you have a computer with the Internet , tell your parents to look at this website for information on your book report.

(I write down a few websites of encyclopedias and other science related things geared towards a younger age and give it to him)

ME: Here you go, I gotta run. Good luck on your project buddy.
(Give him a handshake and slowly walk away, just smiling at the mom who was listening to the conversation)
BOY: Thanks! (to mom) Hey Mom now I have all the sources I need if I can use the Internet.

They talked about whatever for a minute while I walked away, the children's section is blocked off from the rest of the store by a small wall so I walked right outside of it and sat in the closest chair and proceeded to read the book I was thinking of buying. She approached me about 5 minutes later.

HB9: Hey there, I got a question for you.
ME: Where'd your kids go? Do you normally leave them alone in big stores?
HB9: Shut up! They are safe in the childrens section. I'm a good mother.
ME: I can tell, you got a bright boy there.
HB9: Thank you. Would you like to grab a cup of coffee and sit down?

I held out my hand for her to help me standup, she complied and grabbed me. We walked over to the coffee section and sat down and began to chat for awhile. She was asking me alot questions about what I do for a living, how old I was, where I go to school, etc. I found out she has two kids both the same age and she is 27, 7 years older than me. She told me about the father/ boyfriend who is in and out of her life, but isn't reliable. When she said this, I gave her another supportive comment on how well behaved her kids were and how hard it must be to be single mother and how good of job she was doing. I then told her how I was raised only by my mother and how much I respect a woman who can take care of not only herself but her children all alone. After about 10 minutes I said she had better get back to her children and that I had to go. We walked back to the childrens section and she was walking very close to me, so I grabbed her hand before we arrived and stopped her.

ME: Listen, give me your number and get yourself a baby-sitter for this weekend, you deserve a night off.
HB9: Well, I really shouldn't. I want to, but I don't want to do anything that I am going to regret.
ME: Thats fine, just make sure you don't regret wasting your time on a lost cause. (talking about her low-life boyfriend)
HB9: I know, its just really hard. Why don't you give me your number and I'll call you if I change my mind.

I handed her my business card and wished her good luck with everything and then walked away, paid for my book, and left the store.

Who thinks shes gonna call, who doesn't?
Anything you guys would have done different?
This is the first time I've ever tried something like this on a mom, I've gamed dozens of older women, but never in front of her kids.
Feedback if anyone has experience with this.
