I've managed to save £2000 in a month for traveling.
How?
*I live with my parents. Food and accommodation are nil.
*I applied for 60+ jobs.
*I worked hard every day.
*Last week I worked from 7AM until 2AM, 4 days in a row.
*When I got paid, I put it in the bank.
*I do not take money out from my bank.
*I said 'yes' to easy money - babysitting
*I advertised (though to little avail)
*I bought barely anything.
*No snacks.
*No drinks.
*Not much socialising (due to no time).
*Despite work being here, there and everywhere. I kept travel costs to a bare minimum: Catching rides and sleeping in tents (last night I slept in my car at my place of work).
Now I'm looking towards greater efficiency with my place of work, because at the moment I'm going everywhere. Today I just got back from a 3 hour commute. After next week I will apply at my local pub, for a few nights a week of regular work. That cuts out travel costs.
I'm also learning about web-marketing for the future. I might put my graphic design work up for sale on the internet to earn that wee bit more. Every pound I make is another 1 mile travelled when I go away. I can't wait.
