Question How are your finances? Give me your suggestions

I'm doing horrible, yourself? Not that I'm broke, but I'm certainly not at the point in which I can easily say "let's go somewhere" without worrying about how much that place will cost. Makes sense?

Financial peace is mind peace and mind peace is health overall. So let's also begin to learn how to take care of our finances. What our goals are and so on. Who would like to begin?

I got a question

Are you putting away 10% of your earnings for YOURSELF. When I mean yourself I mean for the things you WANT. Like how about that cool shirt, or how about a ice cream?

Money is all management, even if you make very little money you have to make what's best of it. I realized I was wasting 7 bucks a day on food alone, everyday at work. That's 140 dollars a month I could have used for something better, not to mention I wasn't eating healthy. Now I pocket those 140 dollars and use the money to buy cheaper and healthier food.

If you live close to your job, forget using your car. Just use your bike, not only is it healthy but you'll save a lot of money.

Just think outside the box.

Ironically, I'm in the hole right now because of school but that's how things are.

I've managed to save £2000 in a month for traveling.

How?
*I live with my parents. Food and accommodation are nil.
*I applied for 60+ jobs.
*I worked hard every day.
*Last week I worked from 7AM until 2AM, 4 days in a row.
*When I got paid, I put it in the bank.
*I do not take money out from my bank.

*I said 'yes' to easy money - babysitting
*I advertised (though to little avail)
*I bought barely anything.

*No snacks.
*No drinks.
*Not much socialising (due to no time).

*Despite work being here, there and everywhere. I kept travel costs to a bare minimum: Catching rides and sleeping in tents (last night I slept in my car at my place of work).

Now I'm looking towards greater efficiency with my place of work, because at the moment I'm going everywhere. Today I just got back from a 3 hour commute. After next week I will apply at my local pub, for a few nights a week of regular work. That cuts out travel costs.

I'm also learning about web-marketing for the future. I might put my graphic design work up for sale on the internet to earn that wee bit more. Every pound I make is another 1 mile travelled when I go away. I can't wait.

I need some financial management. When I first got my job in march, I saved up $2000 while eating shitty fast food and buying stuff here and there. For some reason I stopped doing whatever I was doing and I am left with $200 in the bank. No big vacations or anything, but I bought a PS3, that really did me in I think. Now I am starting school again which means less work, so I need to save better.

in the last two years my finances have gone from black to red and back and forth a few times. every time things start to go good something bad happens. right now i can go out on occasion but it's limited to bowling or a movie as i won't waste money on alcohol or other pointless things. I'm about 4k in the whole right now from medical bills from a food poisoning incident but it shouldn't take too much longer until i get a check from the responsible company where i get sick. until then i have to be careful as it costs me 1500/mo on average to live here in san diego as I pay for everything of mine

the break even graph is the best way to balance your finances
