Youth Interfaith Roundtable Project

I was driving past a mosque the other day when i had a great idea come to my head. Many of today's youth is fairly ignorant to different religions and what not so I stopped by the mosque to see what kind of situation could be worked out. they loved the idea and I'm expecting a call from their youth and PR coordinators.

I've also contacted the B'nai B'rith (jewish organization) office to pull from that end.

The last thing I need is a list of christian/catholic youth organizations from you guys that would help me complete the triangle here.

When you provide the names please include which christian sect/affiliation the organization has and if it has any ethnic focus. (black, chicano, asian, white, or completely diverse which is quite rare in churches).
I need a few different organizations from catholic, protestant, Presbyterian, etc.. I also need them from a variety of ethnic backgrounds (white, african american, chicano, asian, etc)

thanks people.. feel free to input any other ideas you may have for this round table group. This will hopefully turn into an organization to further peace and understanding between our diverse youth. this may be a long shot on the organization part but I do have connections.

Dude, Nice! I was actually just thinking about something like that here. MAS Youth is big in my school and actually the leaders are our student council presidents so they do tons of stuff bout it, but I have no idea how to start it.

My dad put something together similar to this in the regular community (adult mainly) where A priest, A rabbi, A Muslim official (I forget the name), and another Christian sect all came and spoke about the ideals of peace and unity between the religions.

try campus crusade (yeah i know i hate the name too even as a christian). they are a huge christian organization on many campuses

For youth or college age Christian organizations- you can try Young Life or Intervarsity Christian Fellowship.

For a specifically Catholic organization... I'm not sure. You'd have to do some Google-ing for that. I am Catholic, but I don't know of any big organization that I can think of right now.
